AECOM Assistant Project Manager in York, United Kingdom

Job Summary

This is a truly excellent time to join the AECOM Railways team in York and join a multi-award winning global engineering consultancy working on some of the most high profile rail projects globally.

As an assistant project manager with proven experience in the UK Railways industry you will be:

  • Tracking the progress and delivery of deliverables

  • Administrative support such as maintaining the design registers

  • Administrative support such as arranging meetings, taking and disseminating minutes and monitoring the progress of actions.

  • Preparing, updating and checking of project documentation and evidence logs

  • Preparing, collating and publishing project documents, reports and presentations

  • Provide support for ad hoc commercial tasks such as preparing estimates for variations

  • Assist project managers with the monthly project forecasting cycle

  • Maintaining project financial data within our Project Management System – Ecosystem Project Management (ePM).

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience and understanding of (Project) Financial Management

  • Administrative or project support experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise own workload

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and numerical skills

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure

  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships

  • Ability to influence other staff to obtain information in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • AAT Accounting Technician, equivalent, higher or Qualified by Experience (QBE)

  • HND / HNC or equivalent.
