Position Title Planner
Canada - Manitoba
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Planner for immediate employment in the Winnipeg, Manitoba office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Business development pursuits, including proposal preparation, and reviewing sub-consultant proposals
Oversight and management of complex Planning projects with a variety of scopes and scales
Leading project teams, including both AECOM and sub-consultant resources; collaborating with other disciplines and clients to deliver exceptional products on time and within budget
Preparing well-organized and thoughtful Planning Policy documents, Subdivision Plans, and Development and Zoning Applications
Completing Land Use and Recreation Planning Studies
Completing First Nations and Municipal Facilities Master Plans
Directing the preparation of written materials, drawings and graphics in support of planning project
Undertaking outreach and public engagement programs for a range of Planning projects, as well as other multi-disciplinary projects for Transportation, Water and Environmental Business Line
Liaising with clients and other consultants, and visiting sites as needed to support project delivery and business development needs
Bachelor's degree in Planning or an academic equivalent
3+ years of increasingly responsible experience and knowledge of Manitoba planning practices, land development, municipal policy and the legislative environment
Member, or be eligible for membership, in the Canadian Institute of Planners, and recognition as a Registered Professional Planner in Manitoba, MPPI
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel is essential, familiarity with Project Manager, GIS programs and Sketch-up or similar programs would be an asset
IAP2 and LEED credentials, or interest in obtaining such, would be a definite asset
Experience in subdivision design and/or municipal planning projects and sustainable community planning would be an asset
8+ years of increasingly responsible experience and knowledge of Manitoba planning practices, land development, municipal policy and the legislative environment
Written and graphic samples submitted with application preferred
Experience with SketchUp, Revit, Rhino and AutoCAD
