AECOM Project Engineer - TTC Projects in Whitby, Ontario

AECOM is in need of a Senior Project Engineer to work on secondment to TTC. Candidate will work from home as well as from site on a 50/50 split.
This is a sourcing req meant to build a pipeline of talent to work for AECOM on secondment to our major client TTC.
We would like to request candidates for the role of Senior Project Engineer for the Construction Department.
The description of duties/scope of work is below:
Develops the Project Concept and definition.
Manages the design process through the preliminary and detailed design phases.
Manages the preparation of the construction contract documents.
Provides assistance during the tender period and evaluation period.
Provides engineering support during construction.
Candidates must have a University degree and at a very minimum, two (2) years of experience working as a Construction Project Engineer/Project Manager on Transit projects.
Requires certification as a Professional Engineer or a similar professional designation in the Province of Ontario.
Experience on streetcar/LRT maintenance and storage facilities
Experience leading workshops to identify end-user requirements
Experience with projects where options were developed to revise and/or optimize utilization of an existing industrial site or facility
Familiarity with the requirements of the Planning Act, combined with experience obtaining approvals through City of Toronto Planning & Development, including Site Plan Approval, Zoning Bylaw Changes, or Minor Variances
Familiarity with the requirements of the Environmental Assessment Act, combined with experience obtaining approvals through the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation & Parks, through the Transit Project Assessment Process (TPAP)
Proven team player with the skills and ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent business and technical writing.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
Proficient at reading drawings and schematics.
- May be required to work overtime and visit construction sites
