AECOM Canada Nuclear Services (ACNS) was established as AECOM’s nuclear service provider in Canada to provide innovative, value-added and cost-effective solutions facilitated by relationships built on trust. Distributed across many local offices in Ontario, our nuclear business integrates with our robust world-wide network to support Canada’s existing fleet of CANDU Nuclear Power Stations (i.e. OPG Darlington, OPG Pickering, Bruce Power at Tiverton and NB Power’s Point Lepreau), support decommissioning/waste disposal projects, contribute to Canada’s nuclear research by partnering with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) as well as supporting the development of Small Modular Reactors in Canada.
Our multi-discipline teams work collaboratively, bringing innovative research and solutions for up-and-coming technology for nuclear engineering, small modular reactors and nuclear waste management & decommissioning.
AECOM provides engineering services in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical I&C, Civil and procurement. This includes conceptual & detailed design, nuclear system design engineering, commissioning support, CAD and 3D modelling, nuclear decommissioning, project management, field engineering, engineering analysis, nuclear equipment procurement and construction support/planning.
With regards to quality, our quality assurance (QA) program meets the requirements of CSA N285.0, CSA N299.1, CSA N286-12, CSA N286.7, and ISO 9001:2015.
The Nuclear Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the execution of duties as described in ACNS Nuclear Quality System Manual and the CSA N285.0 Nuclear Quality Manual. These duties include but are not limited to Supplier Audits and Surveillances, oversight of Nuclear Procurement Processes, and quality issues associated with non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
Support the President ACNS in the execution of the Quality Assurance Program.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance of the Quality Assurance Manuals to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and Standards
Provide Nuclear Quality Assurance Training.
Complete Assessments as described in ACNS Nuclear Quality System Manual to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Ensure that other self-assessments are completed and reviewed.
Review Quality Documentation such as Non-Conformance reports, corrective action requests, for conformance and effectiveness.
Review feedback and quality documents provided by clients and ensure corrective actions are taken if necessary
Verify and review internal documentation as described in the Quality Manuals.
Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering (or a related field of study) + 8 Years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance within a Nuclear environment. Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the application of QA and procurement principles
Demonstrated history in creation, reviewing and controlling Quality documents.
Demonstrated knowledge in procurement documentation and required standards.
An advanced degree is desirable
Strong written and verbal skills and an ability to influence and interact with all Management Levels.
