AECOM Lead Planner - TTC Projects in Whitby, Ontario

Canada - Ontario, Whitby

Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Lead Planner to work on secondment to TTC to help their teams with delivering their projects.

The job incumbent will be offered a regular, full-time position with AECOM and work on secondment to TTC for about a year before returning to AECOM. Length of secondment could be extended beyond a year before returning to AECOM.

Employee will report for work at the TTC office (depending on COVID restrictions, this will be discussed with the candidate) for the length of the secondment. After the secondment is compete, the home office for the employee will be the AECOM Whitby office.

Major Responsibilities:

.1 Develop integrated master schedule & level 1 to 4 schedules as required throughout project.

.2 Define update frequency, process and build project update calendar with pre-defined cut off

dates.

.3 Maintain and optimize schedule, monitor progress, highlight and resolve schedule issues.

.4 Participate in project schedule risk analysis and include contingency in baseline.

.5 Analyze consultants, suppliers, contractor schedules and provide recommendations.

.6 Monitor slippages and critical/near critical paths and discuss with Project Management for

resolution.

.7 Evaluate project change notices and incorporate approved changes.

.8 Perform variance analysis with root cause and schedule quality compliance check.

.9 Execute interactive planning sessions and develop project plan.

.10 Understand the concepts of project scopes of Work and execution strategies/plans and

translate to plan and schedule development.

.11 Setup planning WBS, CBS, global and project codes.

.12 Adhere to PC Governing documents (Standards, procedures, specifications and guidelines)

related to Planning and Scheduling. Be able to translate these to detailed Work activities and

produce required deliverables.

.13 Apply scheduling practices; critical path management (CPM) and program evaluation and

review technique (PERT).

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 6 years of relevant work experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer someone with planning experience on large engineering/construction projects.
