Job Summary
AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager in the field of Stormwater/Water Resources for our office in West Palm Beach, FL. This person will assist in the planning, permitting, design, and construction administration of projects related to storm water infrastructure facilities and civil land development, to include stormwater treatment areas, conveyance systems, pump stations, and other public infrastructure facilities.
AECOM offers a dynamic atmosphere and career growth opportunities for a Senior Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager with strong communication skills interested in water resources work for a variety of local and regional clients. The successful candidate will be given tasks that will build on his or her experience in order to eventually be responsible for the project management of a project from beginning to through construction.
Duties include technical execution of:
Hydraulic, hydrologic and pollutant loading analyses and modeling
Design of conveyance and treatment systems
Site Design and Low Impact Development
Capital improvement planning and design for stormwater rehabilitation, maintenance and retrofit projects
Watershed and Drainage Basin Evaluation and design
Construction Inspection and Administration for public infrastructure projects
Technical reports and studies
State and Federal Permitting
Contract Documents including technical specifications and construction drawings
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources or Environmental Engineering
Minimum 6 years experience
Stormwater Modeling Experience in programs such as AdICPR, ASAD, EPA-SWMM, HEC-RAS and Hydroflow
Civil Site Development experience
Preferred Qualifications
8 - 10 years of experience as consulting engineer in the stormwater/water resources field is highly preferred
Licensed or Registered as a Professional Engineer is a huge plus
AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare written reports and permit applications
Good analytical skills to interpret data and modeling results
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and oversee work of less experienced engineers
