AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for an Engineer I in the Civil Engineering field for our office in West Palm Beach, FL. This person will assist in the planning, permitting, design, and construction administration of projects related to storm water infrastructure facilities and civil land development, to include stormwater treatment, conveyance systems, pump stations, roadways, utilities and other public infrastructure facilities.

The successful candidate will be given tasks that will build on his or her experience to work on projects from the planning stages through construction. Duties include technical execution of
Design of conveyance and treatment systems
Site Design and Low Impact Development
Capital improvement planning and design for stormwater rehabilitation, maintenance and retrofit projects
Watershed and Drainage Basin Evaluation and design
Hydraulic, hydrologic and pollutant loading analyses and modelingConstruction Inspection and Administration for public infrastructure projects
Technical reports and studies
State and Federal Permitting
Contract Documents including technical specifications and construction drawings
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources or Environmental Engineering
0-2+ years of experience as civil engineer.
Basic AutoCAD and ArcGIS skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare written reports and permit applications
Good analytical skills to interpret data and modeling results
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and oversee work of less experienced engineers
EI with ability to become Licensed or Registered as a Professional Engineer in FL within 4 years
Actively participates in technical or professional societies
Experience in the stormwater/water resources field is a plus. Stormwater Modeling Experience in programs such as AdICPR, ASAD, EPA-SWMM, HEC-RAS and Hydroflow also a plus.
