AECOM Senior CAD/Microstation Technician - Electrical in Wellington, New Zealand

Job Summary
Due to an internal move, we have a new Senior Electrical CAD Technician position available in our Auckland office.
As a senior member of our CAD team, you will assist with drafting design input and technical support in the production of engineering drawings and documentation for small to large scale power projects. You will actively participate in, and contribute to, all technical aspects of small to major transmission & distribution projects, utilising your high attention to detail to review and verify drawings.

Day to day responsibilities include:
Working closely with engineers to obtain precise information about work scope
Producing engineering design documentation for clients in Microstation and AutoCAD
Delivering designs for primary and secondary projects
Working on transmission and distribution, mechanical, structural and civil projects ranging from sub-stations to designing mechanical components for hydro power stations
Assisting and preparing proposals where required.
Minimum Requirements
We are looking for someone who is naturally passionate about technical design who can demonstrate the following:
Completed Engineering (NZCE) / CAD diploma
Minimum of 5 years’ electrical design experience
Self-motivated, practical and enthusiastic to learn and progress career
Proficient in Bentley Microstation and AutoCAD 3D
Good knowledge of drawing practices
Able to use Microsoft Office packages
Strong oral and written communication skills
Team player
Revit knowledge would be advantageous
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering degree or similar
