AECOM Associate Director - Acoustics in Wellington, New Zealand

Job Summary

Due to continued growth, AECOM has a new opportunity for an experienced Acoustic Director to join our Consulting and Technology practice in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton or Christchurch. This is a newly created position to support the technical delivery of environmental acoustics projects throughout the country.

There are more than 150 acousticians at AECOM. They are engineers, designers, musicians and physicists. Our team works on some of the largest infrastructure and building projects in New Zealand and Australia. Projects are varied, ranging from transport infrastructure and offshore windfarms, social noise studies to sports facilities, hospitals, arts galleries and the performing arts. We continuously collaborate with our acoustic colleagues in Australia, Hong Kong, UK and the Americas.

As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for the management of resources, budgets and timelines and enhancing client and working relationships. The role also involves business development, leading and preparing proposals and presentations to clients to win work.

Minimum Requirements

This senior position will suit a Director who has demonstrated experience in delivering environmental acoustic projects and meeting delivery requirements. It is essential to have strong oral and written communication skills, report writing, and experience in the development of proposals. The ability to demonstrate commercial acumen is a must.

  • 15+ years’ experience relevant professional experience

  • Extensive experience working within a consulting environment

  • Extensive experience leading acoustic engineering for major projects

  • Proven results in building client relationships and business development skills.
