AECOM Portfolio, Program, Project Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking talented and experienced Portfolio, Program, Project Analyst for employment in Washington, DC office.

General Description

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist program managers in their execution of programs within the Department of Homeland Security Research Development Test & Evaluation process encompassing: technology foraging and scouting; research and development; test and evaluation; systems & operational analysis and engineering; operational testing and integration; information management; technology transfer, transition and commercialization; and risk management and mitigation. The advertised position will support successful execution of different SETA III Contract Task Orders through onsite work at DHS offices in Washington, DC.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Assist and Support Senior Portfolio, Program, Project Analysts

  • Assist with defining requirements; provides input to project scope, schedule and budget based on an understanding of the program lifecycle.

  • Assist in maintaining changes to project baselines; monitors deliverables; assess documents, plans and applications; conducts quality reviews of projects and tasks.

  • Assist in Preparing presentations and other materials to support project functions.

  • Assist in identifying activities to identify project risks and assist in the development of mitigation plans.

  • Drafts correspondence, reports, white papers, minutes, spreadsheets, communications products, briefs, and other documentation.

  • Maintains and tracks action items and participates in meetings.

  • Support the development of procurement requests to include having and applying practical knowledge of the acquisition process as outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation in order to formulate various acquisition approaches.

  • Assist in drafting various documents supporting a procurement.

  • Relied upon to provide technical and procurement guidance to junior contractor staff on the team.

This position is contingent upon award of contract.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Due to the nature of this work US citizenship is required

  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/clients are security sensitive.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

  • Must be able to obtain security clearance.

  • Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in an indoor/office environment. Position requires often keyboard/mouse operations; occasionally standing/walking; rarely working with arms above shoulder level, repetitive bending/stooping, climbing stairs, repetitive or fine hand movements, and lifting 50 pounds or less.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS and 5+ years of exp or Master’s degree and 3+ years of exp

  • Applicable Certifications; work experience with DHS S&T, other DHS, and/or other consulting for the federal government
