AECOM Mechanical Engineer in Warrington, United Kingdom

Job Summary

The Manchester office are looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their established Building Services team in Manchester. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Engineer to take on a challenging role, on varied and exciting projects across the North West with National and International opportunities also available.

The successful candidate will be a self motivated, confident individual that can also provide guidance to entry level engineers.

As a Mechanical engineer your main responsibilities would be to:

  • Produce detailed design information, including calculations, drawings, technical reports and technical specifications

  • Provide Support to Mechanical discipline lead

  • Review the work of Graduates and provide support and guidance.

  • Act as a mentor to junior staff and promote CPD activities

  • Consider financial implications in producing design options

  • Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in Mechanical building services design within a consultancy background

  • Security Clearance may be required to work on some projects

  • Software:

  • Hevacomp

  • IES

  • AUTOCAD

  • MS Office

  • Revit capabilities (not essential)

Preferred Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or related degree in building services, - (rather than degree only)

  • Full UK Driving Licence (?)

  • CSCS card

  • Membership (CEng / IEng) of CIBSE, or relevant and equivalent professional body.

  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, able to inspire, influence and negotiate
