Position Title Technical Writer

Maintains and organizes departmental documentation and contract deliverables for the Combined Tactical Training Ranges (CTTR) Engineering Team.
Writes, develops, and edits documents, captures and inputs engineering project data, updates project documentation, and maintains document control
Develops, writes and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, and technical and administrative publications with work methods and procedure for installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment in support of the CTTR.
Observes Engineering Operations and Maintenance activities to develop procedures, and documents and develops detailed work instructions.
Provides Configuration Management support for CTTR Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Teams.
Develops, implements, and maintains documentation in accordance with the Engineering Processes and Engineering and Configuration Management Plan.
Reviews Engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness throughout product development, and upon implementation of system additions and/or enhancements.
Reviews, reports, and confers with Engineering and Configuration Management on document configuration changes.
Provides recommendations to streamline processes, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Engineering program.
Completes, and reports upon periodic record compliance reviews.
Maintains and oversees Engineering team training and records.
Develops document templates to standardize and streamline Engineering product deliverables.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to create and develop documentation for submittal/publication
Excellent computer/data input skills using Adobe Acrobat & Microsoft Office Products; Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
Strong communication and organizational skills
Speak, read, and write English required
Configuration Management Training
Quality Management and Safety Awareness Training
Working Knowledgeable of Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Publication and Filing Systems.
Possess a valid state issued driver's license.
Possess and maintain a Secret government security clearance.
Associates degree or higher in writing field, or related discipline preferred
Advanced college-level technical writing courses
Working knowledge of SharePoint Web Page Development
Experience with Microsoft Visio and/or AutoCAD
