Position Title Project Controls Manager

AECOM - Federal Construction Services is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Controls Manager for upcoming projects in the Unites States and other global locations.
Some of the possible locations are Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, Washington DC metro area, US Virgin Islands, Australia, Hawaii, and others. This position is contingent on award of contract with an expected time frame within the next 30 - 90 days.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Skilled in the development of commercial strategies. Capable of participating in negotiations.
Requires a demonstrated ability to effectively lead the project controls function on a medium to large project.
Documents employee performance issues and plays an instrumental role in resolution as appropriate.
Assumes mentoring and training roles as requested and identifies high potential employees to management.
Conducts root cause analysis.
Drafts comprehensive project procedures.
Possesses proven knowledge of scope control and change management.
Utilizes extensive knowledge of construction contracting including the manner in which contract type effects implementation of project controls systems.
Entrants to this position generally have 15 years of experience with scheduling, procurement, project controls, document control, and construction project management.
Demonstrated knowledge of the development of planning, design, and schedules, analysis of baseline schedule and schedule updates, monitoring of schedule delays, tracking of progress, tracking of contract changes, analysis of time extension requests, analysis of stage changes, analysis of value engineering impacts, earned value management, risk management, analysis of claims, assisting and preparing proposals, assisting with the development of document control procedures
Able to conduct a complex analysis to determine impacts on the program schedule
Possess strong leadership qualities and be an effective communicator internally and externally
Experience with federal construction projects
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Previous experience with P6 (Primavera) software
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience.
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) software experience
Security Clearance is a plus
