Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Proposal Specialist. This person will work from home for now due to COVID-19. Post COVID, we will allow a combination of work from home with some in-office work from either our Mississauga, Markham or Whitby locations.

Job Summary:

Working under the direction of the Water Marketing Lead, the Senior Proposal Specialist will be a member of the Water Marketing Pursuit team. Your primary responsibility is to support and coordinate the production of proposals and marketing material in response to formal client Requests for Water Business Line Proposals.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include – but are not limited to – the following:

  • Coordinate and/or draft responses to requests for proposals and expressions of interest, external questionnaires and statements of qualifications. Lead complex, multi-volume and strategic proposal efforts across Canada.

  • Coordinate proposal pursuit teams; facilitate proposal meetings (Go/NoGo conversations); conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with RFP requirements & corporate brand.

  • Produce documents in MS Office Suite (required) or ADOBE Creative Suite (optional) which includes InDesign and other applications.

  • Support Capture Planning for top pursuits as required.

  • Coordinate debriefs, report results and implement necessary improvements.

  • Support Capture Managers and Project Managers to update Salesforce opportunity records.

  • Assist with strategy and preparation of presentation and interview materials.

  • Support the maintenance of marketing information such as resumes and project sheets in the Salesforce system.

  • Interface with technical and management staff to develop marketing collateral and track progress of assigned opportunities in Salesforce; work in close collaboration with the marketing team across Canada.

  • Coordination with the Marketing Communications group regarding business line social media and website content.

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's Degree + four (4) years of relevant marketing experience in the consulting engineering industry or professional services marketing.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered (for example, Diploma/Certificate + six (6) years of relevant experience or High School Diploma + eight (8) years of relevant experience.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally 4 years + of experience in Proposals Marketing within the consulting engineering industry or professional services preferred.

  • Experience leading and writing standing offer and task order proposals valued from $5M and higher for professional services to Canadian government agencies.

  • Experience managing proposals for a professional services company.

  • Strong writing and editing skills.

  • Knowledge of marketing procedures, document and presentation production methods, proposal processes / proposal quality and business development in professional services.

  • A self-starter who has the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and competitive environment and is excellent at prioritizing and multi-tasking in high pressure environments.

  • Experience in Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Sharepoint. Adobe InDesign experience or knowledge is an asset.

  • Attention to detail allows you to work efficiently in a busy and deadline driven work environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.

  • A creative-minded individual

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to independently manage a varying workload.

  • Excellent organizational skills will be highly utilized in a dynamic and professional business environment.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset

  • Experience in/knowledge of P3/Alterative Delivery pursuits is preferred.Additional Requirements: Some travel within North America may be necessary.
