Position Title Experienced EHSS Consultant
Netherlands - South Holland
AECOM Netherlands is seeking an Experienced EHSS Consultant to join our growing team in Environmental Services in The Hague. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team which undertakes a wide variety of projects for mainly international private sector clients based in The Netherlands and abroad. These projects involve, but are not limited to environmental and Due Diligence auditing, Seveso/ BRZO, permitting, resilience, soil and groundwater, analysis, assessment and application of the appropriate and actual Dutch environmental legislations.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Act as Project Manager responsible for the operational, technical and financial management of projects
Be involved in Compliance and Due Diligence audits and Permitting procedures
Analyze environmental data and write reports
Communicate with governmental organizations on behalf of your clients
Establish and maintain long term client relationships by delivering top-quality projects and cross-selling of other AECOM services
Be a team player and help our Dutch team develop and grow
Report directly to the Team Leader

As part of our team, the Consultant is expected to implement safety, quality and customer focus into their day-to-day activities. The Consultant is expected to participate in all safety initiatives, and ensure the safety of him/her-self and their colleagues
Obtained or in pursue of a degree in HVK, Prevention Advisor and/or as Environmental Coordinator
Expert in Seveso / BRZO consultancy
Expert in soil & groundwater surveys and remediation projects
Expert in one or more environmental topics
Fluency in Dutch both written and spoken
Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Engineering or another technical, environmental or chemical field of study
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role within the environmental consultancy and has proven experience in acquisition of new projects
Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and (client) communication skills
Willingness to travel frequently within mainly the Netherlands and occasionally abroad to meet the needs of specific projects.
Demonstrated excellent analytical and report writing skills
Excellent knowledge of current date Dutch EHS legislation
Fluent in English
