AECOM Compensation & Benefits Manager, East and South East Asia in The Concourse, Singapore

Job Summary

Leads total rewards for East and South East Asia in PRC, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and etc. with approximately 6500 employees; to ensures competitiveness of our programs and their alignment with our business objectives in wide C&B programs’ development, implementation, and improvement.

The post reports to Director, Compensation and Benefits, APAC and is a key member of the Total Rewards Center of Excellence Team in AECOM HR.


  • Responsible to review, design, implement and manage compensation and benefits programs and initiatives which include base and variable pay program, risk, medical, retirement plans and other reward programs.

  • Works closely with country HR team and global Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) team to ensure that compensation and benefits programs are competitive and are aligned with the global reward framework and strategy.

  • Provides expertise and advice to country HR and business leaders; foster a close working partnership.

  • Manages market pricing, market survey participation, development of salary ranges, merit recommendation.

  • Manages job evaluation, career levelling for new hires and changes of existing staff.

  • Manages annual Compensation Planning process, including salary increases, promotion, incentive awards and equity awards.

  • Involves in Human Resources Information System (Workday), Market Pricing System (MarketPay) in configurations improvement and ensuring data integrity, testing, users’ training and communications.

  • Ensures correct and updated benefits documents or policies are posted appropriately in internal system (Employee Center).

  • Support HR Shared Services in handling Compensation and Benefits related enquiries from leaders or employees.

  • Lead annual risk and medical plans review by working closely with globally appointed broker and country HR.

  • Implement global benefits program such as service award, employee assistance program, travel insurance, employee stock purchase plan and reflect any needs for improvement.

  • Stays abreast of changes in regulatory requirements, contemporary compensation and benefits trends and best practices against existing practices, procedures, and systems to provide recommendation for compliance and improvements.

  • Coach subordinates’ performance and develop their competencies.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Degree holder in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline

  • has formal and comprehensive training/knowledge in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards. Has obtained or in pursuing the GRP® or similar qualification.

  • 10 years’ relevant experience in compensation and benefits in sizeable organizations, has direct involvement in implementing and reviewing base pay, benefits, or variable incentive programs

  • has recent exposure or coverage in more than one Asian country.

  • Has experience in utilizing any market survey provider’s online tool for data submission and retrieving; has experience in using any HRIS such as WorkDay

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of different elements within a Total Reward model and how they integrated together and with other HR programs.

  • Advanced knowledge in using Excel such as using VLookup, Pivotal table, Charts and some formulas.

Other Skills/Attributes

  • Must have strong analytical skills, being able to analysis complex issues, identify root causes and subsequently comes out with appropriate recommendations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to influence others.

  • Good coaching and mentoring skills

  • Fluency in English, Cantonese & preferably in Mandarin as well.
