Job Description

The Role

AECOM’s Project and Program Management business is expanding! We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to support our Program in Tennant Creek, N.T.

Join the team at Tennant Creek on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. Take a trip to the real Australia, stunning landscapes, brilliant blue skies and diverse communities. While in Tennant Creek enjoy a rich cultural heritage and a remarkable community with all the facilities you need. Take short trips to our beautiful Lake Mary Ann, Karlu Karlu and our national parks which are great for 4WD, scenic walks and camping.

As a Senior Project Manager with a world leader in engineering and construction services you will be responsible for a range of projects/contracts, including infrastructure upgrades as well as construction and delivery.

AECOM’s Project and Program Management team aims to provide clients with full Project Management services from concept to completion and are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to work across the full lifecycle of a project from pre-contract to construction, delivery and commissioning.

Your role will involve client-side construction management including actively undertaking inspections, providing cost reports and construction reports while managing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with contractors, designers, and indigenous communities. Other responsibilities may include the preparation and presentation of proposals to clients and developing and enhancing relationships with clients and AECOM staff and suppliers.

About You

  • 10+ years relevant professional experience as a consulting client-side project manager and project director in the building and property industry

  • Able to lead client-side complex projects as a Project Lead as well as contributing to the sales, profitability and management of work and people.

  • Has demonstrated client-side project management experience in either infrastructure, planning and logistics in the last 5 years.

  • Regularly liaises with clients, has a strong focus in business development and winning work, and is responsible for identifying opportunities and assisting in expanding business opportunities for AECOM.

  • Provides leadership to professional and technical staff on complex projects that deliver high standard outcomes for AECOM

You will have well-developed communication skills and a track record for delivering projects on time and to budget. Knowledge of the current market for consulting services as well as knowledge of construction will be a requirement.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate Tertiary Qualifications.

  • Membership and professional accreditation of AIPM (or working towards obtaining);

  • Competency in utilising systems Project Management tools (eg. Aconex).
