AECOM Project Controls Data Analyst in Tampa, Florida

AECOM's Project Controls group is looking for a data analytics specialist based in Tampa, Florida.
The position will be working with clients, reviewing their data, management processes, KPI's and business and performance metrics. The work is very interactive with our clients to understand their business rules to provide critical thinking and insights into their operational performance across a very large portfolio of projects. Typical activities would include:
Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement
Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients
Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
Structure large data sets to find usable information
Work with a team of analysts, project managers, leadership and other associates to process information
Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
Adapt our work through continual process improvement

BA/BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Construction or Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Experience with SQL or XML
Experience with Power BI
Knowledge of statistics and statistical packages for analyzing datasets
Experience transforming, analyzing, and disseminating information
Versed interviewing clients and end users, transforming client processes into datasets, creating reports and dashboards, and presenting reports and findings
BS degree in Construction Management with experience working for a general contractor
Proven experience working with data analytics for purposes of analysis of business improvement and/or project progress reporting
Ability to work in SQL, XML, Power BI, and Qlik
Ability to use scripting languages such as R or Python
Ability to work with data models, database design, data mining, and machine learning
Ability to learn clients business processes and KPI’s and apply analytics in a project controls environment
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
