AECOM’s Florida NEPA/Corridors Group is seeking a motivated and confident Entry-Level Transportation Planner to be a part of the Tampa office staff. The candidate will be an integral part of project and study teams focused on surface transportation (roadway, transit, port, bicycle and pedestrian) studies for clients such as Florida DOT, Federal Transit Administration, Federal Railroad Administration, MPOs, counties and cities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project data collection, research and analysis, participation in project meetings with internal team and clients
Interaction with the public and project stakeholders (including federal, state and local agencies)
Development and/or review of project documents and general support of project team/tasks
Occasional travel to project sites, meeting locations and other offices will be required at times
Bachelor’s Degree in planning related field of study (urban and regional planning, transportation, urban design, policy planning, geography, economics, etc.)
Generalize knowledge of basic planning theory/practice and public involvement/engagement techniques
Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of GIS and Adobe Creative Suite
Pursue and obtain AICP within 3 years of hire date
Valid driver’s license
Master’s degree in planning related field of study (urban and regional planning, transportation, urban design, policy planning, geography, economics, etc.)
Generalized knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Strong written and oral skills
Confident with public speaking
Comfortable working in teams and with others to complete tasks
