AECOM Bridge Engineer III in Tampa, Florida

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Bridge Engineer III for immediate employment for the Tampa, FL office. AECOM’s Tampa office is responsible for a wide variety of bridge and transportation-related structures’ ranging from conventional overpasses, complex interchanges and signature structures including segmental, extra dosed and cable-stay bridges. Candidate should have excellent engineering and communication skills, and a desire to contribute to our bridge design team.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed below:
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
5+ years of experience
Licensed Professional Engineer
Proficient with MicroStation, Microsoft Office Software, Mathcad and other general software
Familiarity with Bentley’s LEAP Bridge Concrete software and BSI’s FB-MultiPier
Candidate should be detail oriented and should have strong skills in structural analysis, steel and concrete design; and the ability to work in a team environment.
Must possess excellent analytical, technical skills and communication (oral and written) skills
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus
Experience with structural analysis software packages including Midas, LARSA and Bentley’s RM Bridge
Experience on Florida DOT projects
