The Workday Integrations Technical Lead role is part of AECOM’s Enterprise Applications Team responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and supporting multiple integrations to/from our Workday HCM platform of varying technical complexity. The role works with IT and global business stakeholders to provide consultative support in evaluation of business requirements related to Workday integrations, provide and evaluate options, recommend solutions and implement and test the solutions. This is a dual role that focuses on development and support (70%) and technical analysis (30%) depending on business demand.
Development and Support
Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations in support of enterprise initiatives and projects. The complexity of the integrations can be anywhere from low to high complexity.
Provide consultative support for low, medium, and high complexity projects.
Schedule, monitor, modify, maintain, and modernize existing integrations as required.
Maintain system related requirements and technical documentation including updating integration trackers, design documentation etc.
Prepare documentation on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner for easy presentation to business stakeholders.
Partner with Information Security & Data Privacy to ensure compliance for Workday integration solutions; this includes preparation of ARB documentation, documenting integration security, and implementing solutions as per recommendation of security and data privacy (e.g., SSH encryptions, PGP encryptions).
Adhere to security requirements and processes to maintain highest level of protection for source code, interfaces, passwords, databases, etc.
Develop and perform system change audits and validation and follow up with appropriate teams for correction as required.
Troubleshoot complex issues, data, and integration errors, evaluate, and provide proposed solutions, using an in-depth knowledge of staging tables, error logs and integration logic. Responsible for escalating the issues further as and when necessary.
Identify, recommend, and track opportunities for process and operational improvements.
Keep current with the latest versions of applications development software, techniques, and practices.
Provide support for complex issues relating to interfaces and integrations to and from AECOM’s Workday HCM platform including Oracle HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and other systems as required
Assess and understand the issues and challenges of AECOM’s organization and data and how the supported application seeks to resolve those issues.
Serve as a go-to lT Workday Integrations Technical Analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT team and as required by business partners globally.
Work with IT management and other IT analysts to analyze business requirements and guide the business stakeholders in formulating requirements.
Document requirements, data flows, solutions, and testing results.
Prepare unit testing and user acceptance testing documentation as required; undertake testing on systems configuration, development, and integration changes.
Oversee the implementation of appropriate business logic by 3rd parties as defined through requirements and solutioning process.
Work closely with business stakeholders to test solutions, ensure business acceptance / sign offs are obtained and documented as requirement by AECOMs internal processes and good practice.
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development or similar is preferred
A minimum of 5+ years of Workday Integration analysis, development, and support experience in a global organization
Has a breath of experience across a variety of integrations (e.g., Oracle HRIS, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, etc) is preferred over candidates with many years of experience in one area
Hands on development experience in designing, developing, and supporting the following:
Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
Workday Studio – inbound and outbound
Experience in Workday security including segmentation, role (constrained/non constrained), intersection etc.
Experience in data transformation languages including XSLT, XTT/ETV
Expertise in building complex reports and dashboards using Report Writer
Experience with real-time integrations, using Workday web services, PICOF, PECI, XSLT, SOAP, REST, WSDL
Experience designing and documenting business process workflows, business requirements documents, wireframes, and test cases
Workday Integration Certification
Workday Studio Certification
2+ years of experience developing and supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite HCM integrations to and from Workday HCM is preferred
Functional understanding of core Workday modules such as HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent and Per, Absence is preferred
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various internal and external customers globally. Ability to use tact and discretion in delivering critical and sensitive information to peers, stakeholders, and direct reports as applicable. (Communication)
