Job Summary

Based on the project site, reports to the Project Manager, for liaising and coordination with contractors and client on all construction aspects of the project

  • Fully understand the role of the PMC with regards to Construction Management as detailed in the Client’s Brief

  • Reviewing and evaluating documentation related to mechanical & electrical works: process flow sheets, part lists, suppliers parts list, mechanical & electrical drawings, shipping status etc

  • Reviewing, evaluating and validating erection procedures proposed by the contractors

  • Arranging and running coordination meetings

  • Managing the supervision of construction of the Client Project

  • Directing and supporting the on-site project team in carrying out its duties

  • Managing the contractors appointed by Client including coordination and supervision of their work against the required progress, quality and safety

  • Monitoring, updating and reporting the status and progress of construction

  • Organizing and running all relevant project site meetings contractors and the project team

  • Ensuring all necessary regulatory approvals are obtained by the relevant parties for the construction

  • Preparing, punch lists upon completion for inspection and defects rectification

  • Ensuring preparation of as-built documents, O&M manuals by relevant parties

  • Ensuring proper safety precautions and procedures are in place by the contractors and that they are being followed

  • Other duties as directed

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering

  • Previous experience in the construction of cement plants and brownfield works

  • Experience in silos

  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and extremely organized

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • High level of organizational skills and time management.

  • Strong client and stakeholder management

  • Familiar with industrial construction trades.

  • Must be well versed in computer applications, reporting, project documentation, subcontractor coordination, and safety

  • 10-15 years of experience including management of brownfield projects and shutdown
