Job Description:

This role is primarily working as a graphic designer for major pursuit bids, with the opportunity to also get involved in the marketing-related design, should the opportunity arise. The successful candidate will have bid-related experience and skill-sets, ideally in the design and engineering industry. The successful candidate will have strong visual communications ability, the ability to execute visual strategy for complex bid requirements, and the delivery of appropriate, compliant, creative design concepts for bids and presentations across print and digital platforms. This includes the overall layout, design, infographics, etc. to produce graphic design work for bids as well as contributing to the development of new bid concepts, graphic standards and templates, and improved processes and workflow systems. An ability to work calmly under time pressure and meet deadlines is particularly important in this role.

The successful candidate will be advanced with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word and confident in their ability to visualize their concepts and articulate ideas to the bid managers. Strong communication skills are essential, to enable discussion and development of thinking around infographics with subject matter experts.

You should have a flexible approach to work working hours, working during UK hours, or there may be occasions where it may benefit working Manila hours depending on the individual bid process and timeline.

  • Production of end-to-end bid documentation and supporting material to meet quality and deadline expectations

  • Analyses design request requirements and communicates with the bid lead for full clarity and understanding

  • Ensure compliance with the required proposal deliverables and client instructions

  • The overall layout, design, and production activities

  • Plan, create, edit, complete, and stores graphics and documents in compliance with the bid programme and agreed on deliverables, maintaining ownership of version control

  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to turn written, numerical and existing content into compelling graphical representations

  • Design infographics, maps, charts, and technical illustrations for proposals

  • Manage graphic design production efforts for proposals, presentations, and occasionally marketing collateral

  • Coordinate production and distribution of printed bid materials

  • Design executive bid presentations

  • Develop collateral and material processes to support the bid teams

  • Research and develop new ways of presenting our brand

  • Obtain appropriate images through royalty-free purchase, company's image collection, and/or the creation of original artwork

  • Address critical and unique issues with the guidance of the Team Lead for timely resolution of escalated issues. Identify risks and propose ways to prevent the occurrence of similar issues and concerns

  • Work with Team Lead to develop process improvement initiatives

  • Lead and support key projects and provide guidance and technical expertise to junior members of the team

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any four-year course, preferably in Graphic Arts, Design, Communications, and other similar courses, however, experience as a bid graphic designer is key

  • At least five (5) years of experience, in a graphic design function, in a corporate environment, working on complex bids/proposals in both Adobe Creative software and MS Word

  • Experience in collaborating with diverse, cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams

  • Proven skills in producing proposal content within a complex business environment

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time-management and organizational skills

  • A portfolio that demonstrates a solid background in bid related graphic design work in print and digital

  • Proven ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven projects at once

  • A strong understanding and creative approach to brand identity and visual aesthetics

  • Experience in developing innovative design concepts, project management, taking briefs, and print production experience

  • Excellent proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
