AECOM Senior Consultant, Environment in Taguig City, Philippines

Job Summary

  • Serves as a fully capable professional in the field with minimal direction.

  • Applies advanced knowledge to develop design procedures software and tools to facilitate high quality cost-effective technical project activities.

  • Develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.

  • Manages communication and collaboration with full design team and client.

  • Conducts interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.

  • Oversees the development and implementation of technical approach and the completion of complex work which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity

  • Initiates and creates project designs and plans with responsibility for preparing presentation and design drawings.

  • Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.

  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

  • May oversee the work of less experienced designers.

  • Meets with clients and oversees all aspects of the project to ensure client needs are met

Minimum Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the successful delivery of projects; establish and maintain client base and working relationships; carry out assigned tasks reliably and accurately.

  • Execute various activities involved in the timely, high quality, and cost-effective delivery of the environment projects.

  • Perform as Project Manager for the following environmental services:

  • Initial Environmental Examination Checklist

  • Initial Environmental Examination

  • Environmental Permitting

  • Other environmental studies that may be assigned

  • Draft and/or review technical reports.

  • Integrate reports from sub-consultants.

  • Provide accurate and professionally responsible outputs on program and on budget.

  • Assist in preparing and packaging proposals.

  • Perform fieldwork activities including liaising with various government officials or representatives, and corporate representatives. Maintain harmonious client relationships at the project and local market level.

  • Coordinate with various accredited laboratories and agencies for purposes of testing.

  • Perform business development activities such as arranging logistics and schedule meetings with potential clients, assistance during presentations, and in networking with various corporations and various organizations to be able tap potential clients.

  • Ensure the relevant QA procedures are followed without exception.

  • Shall carry out duties in accordance with quality and environmental management system, health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Shall report quality, environmental, health and safety problems or any suggestions to his/her immediate superior.

  • Shall perform other duties that his/her immediate superior may assign form time to time.

  • Works under the general supervision of Associate/Associate Director, Environmental.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Science or any related field.

  • PRC license if and when required.

  • At least 8 years solid experience in socio impact assessment must have EIA background.

  • Knowledge of environmental impact assessment methods, environmental monitoring procedures and protocols, environmental audit protocols, environmental site assessment methods and protocols.

  • Knowledge of Philippine environmental codes, laws and regulations.

  • Maintain harmonious client relationships at the project and local market level.

  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills

  • Computer literate; knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, statistical analysis.
