Job Description :

The role is responsible to support and maintain HRIS applications and their interfaces/reports across AECOM. The primary focus includes supporting the transmission and accuracy of data movement between enterprise HR applications, such as Workday HCM, Oracle HR, and Insight. The role works under the Business Systems Manager and is responsible to coordinate with AECOM business stakeholders, and 3rd party resources including vendor and outsourced teams in managing projects and related activities.

  • Act as a go-to IT System Analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business partners across AECOM’s global operations for the movement of employee data between Workday, Oracle eBusiness Suite HCM, and other integrated systems and vendors.

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of how the applications are configured to meet customer’s business requirements.

  • Provide direction and expertise for medium to high complexity projects where Workday integration expertise is required and provide consultative support to internal staff.

  • Analyze business requirements and functional change requests; guide the business stakeholders in formulating requirements as required.

  • Establish requirements priorities in conjunction with business stakeholders ;negotiate priorities and timeframes.

  • Identify omissions and errors in requirements; modify the requirements as necessary for cross-enterprise commonality and efficiency, recommend optimum approach and prepare them for assignment and execution.

  • Identify and evaluate the impact of proposed or requested minor and major changes to existing applications and interfaces and document them.

  • Clarify efforts needed from the business teams for requirements gathering/ data analysis, testing, and obtain their buy in to commit the resources for timely implementation.

  • Present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written form to senior management and any other necessary audience.

  • Oversee the implementation of appropriate business logic as defined through requirements and solutioning process.

  • Prepare unit testing and user acceptance testing documentation as required; undertake testing on systems configuration, development, and integration changes.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to test solutions, ensure business acceptance / sign offs are obtained and documented as required by AECOMs internal processes and good practice

  • Coordinate appropriate user training and development of associated supplemental materials, presentations, and documentation.

  • Proactively monitor systems interfaces as required, identify issues, and action appropriate resolutions.

  • Ensure applications configuration/development and support is aligned with AECOM IT processes, standards, and strategy.

  • Adhere to security requirements and processes to maintain highest level of protection for HR data, source code, interfaces, passwords, databases, etc.

  • Develop and regularly perform system change audits and validation and follow up with appropriate teams for correction.

  • Maintain system related requirements and technical documentation.

  • Monitor and assist with impact analysis with up/down stream systems.

  • Keep current with the latest versions of applications development software, techniques, and practices.

  • Address critical and unique issues with the guidance of Team Lead for timely resolution of escalated issues. Identify risks and propose ways to prevent occurrence of similar issues and concerns.

  • Resolve identified issues and keep the Team Lead updated for open or ongoing concerns.

  • Work with Team Lead to develop process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.

  • Develop and prepare reports, analyses, and presentations for periodic and ad hoc requirements.

  • Lead and support key projects, audit reviews, activities, and documentation.

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior members of the team in completing projects and performing activities as applicable

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Management Information Systems, or IT related fields.

  • 7+ years of application support experience in Oracle HR, Workday HCM, including interfaces and working with large data sets

  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.

  • Experience of implementing, managing data cleansing, and migration projects.

  • Experience of working across large projects or directly managing small to medium projects

  • Experience in supporting custom reports and/or integrations for Workday, Oracle, or BI applications including working with the business during design, testing, and roll-out.

  • Experience with designing and documenting business process workflows, business requirements documents, wireframes, and test cases.

  • Basic database and SQL skills, knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques used in information technology design and development.

  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Additional experience in support of other Oracle modules such as Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) and Payroll, Corgnos BI, Informatica, and Automic Workload Automation (AppWorx) would be an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a varied audience and internal and external customers including facilitating meetings with stakeholders with competing interests, driving agreements and decisions, and determining when and how to escalate appropriately (Communication)

  • Ability to maintain good customer relationship with the ability to initiate ways to improve customer support customer experience (Customer Service)

  • Ability to be thorough and meticulous in completing assigned tasks and with the ability to propose ways to prevent or eliminate errors, discrepancies & issues. (Attention to Details)

  • Ability to identify and resolve moderate and complex issues by applying best practices and technical expertise and may recommend solutions for unique scenarios. (Problem Solving)
