AECOM Technical Director - Water Infrastructure Design in Sydney, Australia

Job Summary

Our Civil Infrastructure Business is looking for a highly experienced director to join our ANZ Water Team. As part of the team, you will help develop and provide high quality, leading edge sustainable engineering solutions to our clients in conventional water treatment, sea water desalination, membrane filtration, and advanced water / wastewater treatment applications.

You will be an integral member of the NSW & ACT Water Team and have broader involvement across our ANZ Water Business Line. You will have clear accountability for AECOM’s strategic, financial and client outcomes within the WI business.

You will have key responsibility for:

  • Leading and delivering projects within your area of expertise.

  • Demonstrating project excellence and driving a culture of project management accountability.

  • Understanding our core Water Infrastructure markets in NSW, ACT and ANZ and having an outward looking, industry focus for existing and new market areas.

  • Development of key internal relationships within AECOM that benefit our business.

  • Collaborating with key ANZ staff to identify, capture and deliver key projects.

Collaborating with the wider AECOM Water Infrastructure team in Australia and contribute, where appropriate, to major projects and projects delivered by other offices and regions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or similar

  • Extensive years of experience in a similar position building upon local client relationships

  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent of a recognised professional engineering body (e.g. IRSE)

  • Extensive expertise in stakeholder consultation and management

  • Proven track record with large client program management, pursuit execution

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or similar
