Job Description
AECOM’s Sydney office has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Project Administrator to join our Buildings and Places group to support a range of large buildings projects within the infrustrucutre, defence, energy and high-tech sectors. . This is a “hands-on” position where you will be an integral part of our project team, working closely with high performing, industry specialists to help deliver project milestones.
The role of Project Administrator will be to support busy Engineering teams in both Administration and document control, ensuring teams are sufficiently organized and maintain operational practices and consistency for the client.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Meeting coordination, preparing relevant documentation, and taking accurate minutes
Document formatting and proof reading
Maintaining project registers
Performing general administrative duties as required.
Providing project support services to support the efficient working of the teams;
Coordinating and assisting during internal project audit activities;
Other ad-hoc administration duties, as required.
Qualifications
This is a fast-paced role for a proven Project Administrator, ideally with a buildings background or with exposure to the consulting, engineering design or construction industry. To be successful in this role you will have some or all of the following experience:
Proven experience in an Administrative or Office Support role
Excellent customer service skill set and confident in communication (verbal and written)
Prior exposure to admin support such as; management of document formatting & control, and coordination support
Ability to maintain and manage various project org charts in line with structural or hierarchical changes
Ability to manage day-to-day operations as well as support multiple and varied projects in general administration support
Evidence of minute-taking and generating actions from meetings
Highly developed communication, analytical and problem solving skills
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
Experience is using document control systems eg aconex/teambinder
Data entry and maintaining database information.
You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player who is able to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines. You will have a strong customer-service focus and ability to remain agile in your approach.
