This role will give you the opportunity to further develop your career and apply your technical skills and leadership, while supporting the broader business.

To be successful, the candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the industry with a proven track record in the delivery of technical projects and will also be conversant with the industry standards. As a valued member of the team, opportunities will occur in a project from the earliest stages of planning, investigation, design, and all the way through to construction-phase services.

Your demonstrated experience will enable you to be a technical leader for pavements design and construction across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and to become an AECOM-accredited lead verifier. AECOM provides support and mentoring locally and from the greater business to ensure our staff develop the skills and experience necessary to meet and exceed our client’s expectations. Your role as Pavement Technical Lead will consist of providing both technical and project management leadership for new pavement design, rehabilitation design, testing and pavement management advisory services. You will also assist in preparation of bids and proposals, attend meetings with contractors and clients (both external and internal) and work on and manage multi-disciplinary project design teams.

As part of the role, you will enhance client and industry relationships with both public and private stakeholders. Industry engagement through paper submission and conference presentation will be expected from the successful candidate.

You will develop the talent and knowledge of the team through coaching and mentoring and supporting their technical career development aspirations. In addition, you will promote the implementation of innovations and sustainable technologies within AECOM and the industry. You will be a role model, complying and championing company processes and cultural standards, and ensuring adherence to safety, welfare, quality and environmental requirements.

As part of this role you will be given the opportunity to travel and work on a range of assignments across highways, industrial, maritime and airfields sectors.
