Job Description

AECOM is seeking a creative motivated and ambitious Senior Project Manager for employment in the Swindon office to support the growth demands of the Rail sector.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the Wales & Western Project Management team to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects. You will be joining a growing team of like-minded people that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions. As a Senior Project manager, you will be expected to work within a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. This role involves managing and delivering projects through all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from feasibility studies, option development, outline and detailed design and construction support

You will be passionate about project management and furthering your career with a leading construction consultancy

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of projects

  • Managing projects to time, cost and quality

  • Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources

  • Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities

  • Quality management processes for project activities and outputs

  • Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests

  • Managing teams from across the business

  • Managing subcontractors

  • Building strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team

Qualifications

  • BA/BSc in engineering, business management, accounting, or similar

  • Work experience in a project delivery environment

  • Relevant project management accreditations

  • Knowledge of rail sector (preferred)
