Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering EIT to be based in our Sudbury, ON office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assist Project Manager and Design Leads with preliminary and detailed design projects including condition assessments, design related inspections, generating reports and design related documents.
Assist Contract Administrator and Field Inspection staff on construction projects. Coordination with internal team members, General Contractors and Municipal Staff throughout the construction phase.
Support and assist senior staff with: Shop drawing reviews, processing of payment certificates, change orders, support field staff, coordination and assist with the preparation of design and record drawings for projects in municipal infrastructure (treatment plants, watermains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, pumping stations and roads).
Reviewing engineering drawings and municipal standards.
Review of as-constructed surveys and preparation of as-constructed drawings.
Assist with plant start-up, testing and commissioning.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, etc.) + 2 years of relevant experience in Civil design and construction
Preferred Qualifications
Registered as EIT with PEO
3+ years’ experience in Civil design and construction.
A working knowledge with AutoCAD/MicroStation/Civil 3D an asset.
Experience with linear and vertical infrastructure projects is preferred.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients Diversity, Inclusion, and Accommodations.
Technical writing capabilities are an important asset
Ability to support site investigations
