AECOM Highway Design/ Transportation Engineer in Stevens Point, Wisconsin

AECOM is seeking a Highway Design/ Transportation Engineer candidate for the Transportation Department in Stevens Point Wisconsin. Work will consist of roadway design including horizontal and vertical alignments, pavement design, sidewalks/bike paths, ADA requirements, erosion control, pavement marking, signing, report preparation, agency and utility coordination, specifications, quantities and estimates.
Projects may include urban and rural roadways, interstate highways, and multi-use paths. Some utility design may also be included.
Successful candidates will be based out of the Stevens Point office and may from time to time travel during the day or evenings to project sites, client meetings, or other AECOM offices. Successful candidates will be expected to work independently and in design teams to advance projects through the WisDOT process.

The job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
- BA/BS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Civil Engineer with 3+ years’ experience with highway/roadway design.
Proven experience with Wisconsin DOT projects or municipal, county or regional highway project design work.
Current EIT or PE; PE highly preferred.
Demonstrated capability with AutoCAD Civil3d and other civil design software packages involved in Wisconsin DOT highway/roadway design work.
