Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a System Safety Analyst to provide support to Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager MAGTF Command and Control Systems (MC2S). The position is located in Stafford VA. The selected candidate will:

Provide safety services for the assessment and documentation of safety related data;

Prepare system safety assessments, document all system safety and assessment findings, develop and staff System Safety Assessment Reports, Risk Acceptance letters, Hazard Logs, Safety Releases and supportive documentation;

Evaluate hardware and software for safety issues in accordance with MIL-STD-882;

Develop Lithium Battery Safety Review letters for Certification by NSWCC;

Develop and submit a Programmatic Environmental, Safety, and Health Evaluation (PESHE) when applicable;

Comment on safety related documents as assigned by the government;

Prepare and submit Hazard Logs to government Principal for Safety;

Prepare safety section of Power Point presentations;

Prepare Safety Release documentation in support of test and evaluation activities;

Prepare risk assessment documentation in support of Fielding Decisions;

Conduct system safety analysis of hardware and software in accordance with government directives and policies;

Review and analyze system safety plans, accident and incident reports, mishap investigations, test plans, technical manuals, and test results as required;

Evaluate program documentation to determine requirements for safety assessments; and

Attend IPT and Working Group meetings, Safety Status Meetings and planning sessions as required.

Minimum Requirements

US citizen.

Active Secret security clearance.

Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited university in a technical discipline with minimum of 3 years or experience in safety related activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Marine Corps C2 systems and DoD 5000 processes.

Previous experience developing system safety documentation for Marine Corps’ Programs of Record.

DAU certification in Systems Engineering
