Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Program Manager to provide management oversight of a contract/task order for a Marine Corps Systems Command government customer in Stafford, VA. The selected candidate will supervise and manage program management, engineering, logistics and financial support across a diverse range of medium and heavy vehicles and will provide direct support to the Program Office. Responsible for the planning, control and direction of staff and customer support personnel for one or more contracts/task orders.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Overall responsibility for cost, schedule and technical performance of the contract/task order

  2. Supervise, coach and lead work teams in the accomplishment of goals and tasks in support of specific programs.

  3. Administratively supervise personnel.

  4. Perform and supervise multi-disciplinary technical and/or non-technical tasks for applicable programs.

  5. Interface with customers to determine specific needs and requirements.

  6. Develop detailed staffing requirements, assignments and plans to meet customer needs.

  7. Estimate personnel needs and schedule and assign work to meet completion dates.

  8. Coordinate the investigation and resolution of contract issues/concerns in conjunction with operations staff.

  9. Perform senior level customer interface, including responsibility for contractual deliverables, development of responses to the Requests for Quotes and overall task execution.

  10. Develop required technical and management documentation in support of customer technical and programmatic reviews.

  11. Financial oversight of contracts, including risk assessment/management and forecasting.

  12. Seek and develop new business opportunities.

  13. Participate in proposal development.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of progressive related experience. Additional related experience may be substituted for education. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills are required. Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications are required. Knowledge or experience in standard business practices such as Contract/Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management.

Position may require travel.

Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and ability to perform detail oriented work. Self-starter who can work well independently with minimal supervision and broad direction. Proactive team player with excellent problem solving, analytical and interpersonal and technical writing skills and must be able to coordinate multiple tasks. Knowledge of program management required. Knowledge of DoD acquisition required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Marine Corps and/or tactical vehicles. Project Management Professional (PMP) course work and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification are a plus. DAWIA Program Management certification or equivalent is a plus.
