If so we are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Health and Safety Consultant to join our team in St Albans or London to work on a wide variety of projects and frameworks, to drive quality and diversity of our service offering, provide support in the management of existing clients, internal commercial focussed management and to work with the Directors in raising the profile of AECOM Health and Safety Consulting across London and Home Counties and growing the service line. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for safety and health to deliver delivered proportionate risk solutions for our clients.

AECOM Buildings & Places is made up of dedicated teams delivering projects in Commercial, Residential, Hospitality, Sports Venues, Work Places, Education, Government and Healthcare.

Some of our flagship work in recent years has been undertaken for Grosvenor Estates, Landsec, Canary Wharf Contractors, Imperial College London and Notting Hill Genesis. In addition, we have and continue to deliver both National and International Frameworks.
About Our Team:
We are a team of dedicated Health and Safety professionals providing health and safety advice across all areas of the United Kingdom and covering all sectors in the construction industry in addition to other Health and Safety consultancy services. This includes work with commercial clients, local authorities, healthcare providers, education institutions and the residential market.
Our team is growing to support our work in all sectors with a focus for this role to support established framework delivery for a high-profile client together with all other aspects of service delivery across the range of sectors previously noted.
We are looking for highly skilled and motivated safety professionals to support this exciting phase of our growth.
You will need to be from a consultancy or client organisation with the ability to:
Manage and ensure the delivery of Health and Safety Consulting team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
Develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
Managing the role of Principal Designer / CDM Advisor / PS Adviser under the CDM Regulations.
Providing wider Health & Safety consultancy services to clients.
Preparation of fee proposals – attendance at Client presentations if required.
Be a primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).
Provide full Health & Safety consultancy duties to AECOM clients including our internal market.
Our approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants. The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Health & Safety Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team
Proven experience in a consulting or client/contractor environment providing the full spectrum of Health and Safety services including CDM bias services such as Principal Designer and CDM Client Advisor, inspection and auditing, safety management system development and implementation etc.
Proven ability to lead projects from the front and advise clients and design teams on safety and health-related matters and being a pivotal member of a project team.
Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients.
Experience in design delivery stages and construction processes
Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise typical office-based software but with a vision to develop new ways of presenting data.
Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to challenge in a positive and engaging manner.
Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors within our active sectors in the UK (and preferably the London and Home Counties – i.e. Commercial Offices, Residential, Mixed-Use, Education and Healthcare.
Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered or Graduate status with the IOSH.
