We now have a vacancy for a Senior Engineer for an individual with experience of traffic and municipal engineering schemes in the UK, based in London
The team is highly successful and growing as workload is increasing and our clients are giving us significant opportunities to be involved in strategically important schemes across the UK and beyond. The Roads team provides network modelling, design and infrastructure delivery services on a wide range of projects for many local authority and contractor clients and also supports other AECOM sectors.
The successful candidate will be joining a growing team that is actively involved in the delivery of projects and services to a range of both local and national clients including the Midlands Highways Alliance (MHA), Transport for London (TFL) and Cornwall Council. Current projects include;
Didcot Garden Town
A40 Smart Corridor
Abbey Barn Lane Improvement Scheme
A40 Access to Witney
Cycle Superhighway Route 9
Cornwall Community Network Highways Scheme
Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary designelements for engineering works.
Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
A successful track record in the delivery of multiple, consecutive traffic engineering projects with excellent technical and communication skills.
Experience of team management including technical development and mentoring of staff in the performance of their duties.
Application and use of DMRB, Manual for Streets and the Traffic Signs Regulations and Traffic Signs Manuals
- Interested OR working towards Chartered status
