AECOM Associate Director Ground Engineering in St. Albans, United Kingdom

AECOM are looking to hire An Associate Director within our Ground Engineering team. This is a key role for our tam and will deliver consultancy and advisory services to both internal and external clients to a high level of technical quality and to programme and budget.
As part of your role you will get involved in:
Preparation of expressions of interest and priced technical proposals including attendance at internal tender meetings and external interviews with clients.
Scoping, tendering and administering ground investigations and acting as the Engineer;
Planning, resourcing, managing and delivering a wide range of geotechnical designs including slopes, foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, strengthened earthworks and ground improvement;
Production of geotechnical reporting, specification and contract documentation;
Reporting to the design team leader, you will interface directly with other ground engineering team members, from graduate to Directors and with other internal design teams from various disciplines and contractors;
You will have strong development skills and the technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance and teaching to others, particularly junior staff, if and when required;
Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary design team, to ensure work packages are delivered on time and within budget;
Establishing strong working relationships and ensuring regular liaison with other internal teams;
Be aware of and understand the AECOM Project Management procedures, their importance and their application to projects, including monthly progress and budget reviews of projects;
Assist in marketing AECOM GE’s capability by forging good internal and external relationships and contributing to marketing materials.
Carry out regular technical reviews in accordance with the company Quality Management System and act as a Lead Verifier
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the industry and have previous experience in the technical support of projects and be conversant with the standards that apply.
We are looking for an ambitious team player with strong development skills who wishes to assist in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and demanding. The role would suit a self-motivated individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic team. As a design hub for numerical analysis with extensive use of PLAXIS 2D and 3D, knowledge of numerical analysis software would be beneficial.
A degree in Civil Engineering.
You will have an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar.
