AECOM has an opportunity for a
Procurement Specialist-Inventory Clerk at our Springfield, VA location. The selected candidate will analyze cost, developing vendor relationships, identify best offers, researching prices, collaborate with suppliers and negotiate prices and offer strategies and solutions to manage costs on supplies and vendor services, while maintaining an accountable property database management, property issue and receipt control.
Expedited all parts with suppliers as required, to ensure on time delivery, preventing stock outs and production downtime.
Analyze procurement history and shortages to determine best method of procurement and expedite based to work order start dates.
Prepare/Review information for Purchase Request to suppliers and evaluate quotes to ensure program procurement needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Maintain and process accountable property documentation such as editing, deleting, transferring, and issuing hand receipts.
Conduct quarterly/annual inventories of bench stock accountability, reconcile deficiencies identified during physical inventories IAW prescribed procedures.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Must be a US Citizen.
Active, fully adjudicated TS clearance is required.
5+ years work experience in the area of Procurement and 3+ years’ experience in the area of Inventory Management.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent from a four-year college. May substitute 8 years’ work experience in the area of Procurement Management if no degree is achieved.
Must be physically able to perform lifting of objects up to 50 pounds per package and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to withstand rigorous physical demands including, bending, squatting, lifting and standing for long periods of time.
Active TS/SCI w/poly is preferred.
Previous experience working with our government client is preferred.
Should be aware of inventory tracking and ordering processes and familiar with various software used to manage inventory.
Experience with MS Office, Outlook, Internet, E-mail, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Should be able to create correspondence and reports, capable of producing spreadsheets on supply costs and comparisons.
