AECOM Assistant Environmental/Construction Superintendent in Spring Hill, Tennessee

Job Summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a highly talented Assistant Environmental/Construction Superintendent to join our Hunt Construction group. This position will be supporting our Spring Hill, TN project site location.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

This job has two main aspects the environmental and construction responsibilities.

  • Environmental

  • Complete twice weekly SWPPP inspections for all currently open SWPPPs related to the project. There are currently 3.

  • Complete site walks and do chemical audits. This involves looking at each storage area for each contractor/subcontractor and making sure they do not have any chemicals that have not been approved for use on site and that the containment around their materials are in good shape.

  • Coordinate waste disposal between contractors and Plant

  • Coordinate spill response between contractors and Plant

  • Monitor jobsites for spills

  • Everything found on every site-walk is documented in photos and follow-up emails to concerned parties.

  • Act as liaison between Plant Environmental team and Project personnel.

  • Training required: EPSC Level 2 Erosion & Sedimentation Controls, State of TN.

  • Construction Areas of Responsibilities: CUC & Tank Farm Projects

  • Monitor project progress and keep projects on track by removing road-blocks.

  • Document project progress and maintain these documents on One Drive.

  • Coordinate between the Plant and Project personnel for area access, lay-down space, Utility interruptions etc.

  • Review, understand & monitor project drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies in the field and make corrections.

  • Review job scope for project completeness & quality control.

  • Participate & prepare project punch lists

  • Participate in site observation tours and keep an eye out for safety violations.

  • Assist PM & PE with various projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management

  • Strong Industrial Construction background
