As part of AECOM Singapore Creative Services you will be a key member of the Design Planning and Economics (DP+E) team. You will be tasked with bringing excellent strategy knowledge and creative design solutions to support wayfinding deliverables for projects globally. You will work with our landscape, planning, transport and architecture teams as well as a variety of clients across Asia and the Middle East.
You will be responsible for creating compelling wayfinding solutions for a range of environments including city and public realm, transport, commercial, leisure, residential, hospitality, and industrial. You will have the confidence and ability to articulate your strategy and design to the team and clients, with a flair for presentation and excellent knowledge of all aspects required to deliver wayfinding solutions from concept to implementation.
This role provides the opportunity to work with a small team of talented and dedicated professionals to deliver a diverse range of exciting projects across the globe.
To add knowledge, experience and innovation to the Creative Services team, and have the skills to work across multiple wayfinding projects simultaneously, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
To work with project teams to deliver wayfinding strategies and signage design and develop rationales to support your conceptual and creative work.
Develop wayfinding strategies and design solutions for wayfinding projects in a variety of environments.
Develop guidelines to direct the implementation of wayfinding across mega sites including over-arching principles and standards and management process and controls.
Design signage, environmental graphics, maps, icon systems and other information related graphics to support the requirements of contemporary wayfinding systems.
Document strategies and designs through all stages of the project from concept design to tender drawings
Review and approve construction drawings.
Monitor fabrication and installation of signage.
Assist in the preparation of material for bids and tenders to win new work.
8+years of professional experience in established agencies and professional services.
Have an exceptional understanding of written and verbal English with great written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills.
Present a folio documenting excellent design skills and wayfinding knowledge and design experience in a range of environments.
Display a thorough understanding of the principles, techniques and standards required to deliver sophisticated wayfinding solutions.
Experience in winning work through a tender process involving bid preparation of technical requirements and fee and program requirements is an advantage.
Can demonstrate experience in managing all aspects of a wayfinding project
Can communicate easily with clients, with an excellent ability to represent work and sell services
Experience working on projects within a multi-disciplinary team and managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
A folio demonstrating wayfinding delivery for cities and large public realm site, transport facilities (air & rail), and hospitality and leisure destinations preferred.
Advance knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite primarily, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop essential
Intermediate Knowledge of Auto CAD and SketchUp preferred
Ability to use Arc GIS and Revit an advantage.
Can proficiently use Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Minimum qualification is a Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Graphic Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
