AECOM Assistant Manager, Talent Acquisition, South China in Shenzhen, China

Job Summary

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Lead to join our team in Shenzhen. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition – Greater China, the role will see you lead from the front, partnering and more importantly - influencing your key stakeholders to become a trusted advisor in entire Talent Acquisition spectrum. You will execute innovative sub-regional levels and business unit Talent Acquisition strategy in alignment with APAC Talent Acquisition strategy to drive effective hiring practices and outcomes.

  • Manage full life-cycle recruitment including developing search strategies, actively sourcing candidates, pre-screening, interviewing and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, negotiating offers and facilitating the hiring and on-boarding process.

  • Provide supervision and coaching to the Talent Acquisition team covering diverse business lines

  • Consult with hiring managers on all aspects of the hiring process, including hiring strategies, recruitment cycle timing, coaching and guidance on best practices and sourcing trends.

  • Responsible for developing, recommending and executing recruitment strategy with decision makers to ensure a successful candidate search within the identified time frames.

  • Proactively direct source for talent through social media, employee referrals, competitive intelligence/research, sourcing tools and other innovative channels

  • Use proactive methods to network with industry experts and professional industry related associations, in order to build ongoing passive candidate networks.

  • Build relationships and communicates consistently and proactively throughout the recruitment process to ensure all participants in the hiring process are updated and well informed.

  • Create a positive candidate experience (for both the selected and non-selected candidates) throughout the entire recruiting process.

  • Develop and execute a structured and effective campus recruitment strategy for the South China region

  • Work with the Manager, Talent Acquisition – Greater China to develop and drive process improvement

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other relevant fields

  • Minimum 8 years’ Talent Acquisition experience, both external and in-house preferably in a fast paced MNC environment.

  • Strong written/verbal, interpersonal communication, negotiation and analytical skills

  • Experience managing confidential and sensitive information with proven ability to make decision based on sound judgments.

  • Ability to change recruitment direction and priorities, based on ever changing critical needs.

  • Ability to work in a demanding, dynamic, and evolving work culture.

  • Demonstrate good understanding of PRC employment laws

  • Both Mandarin and English communications skills (both verbal and written) is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience identifying and hiring talent within engineering consulting, architectural or construction industry is highly preferred
