AECOM Technical Director / Smart City Lead in Shatin, United States

Singapore - Singapore, Singapore

Job Summary

We address complex problems with our ever-expanding suite of integrated urban solutions. Our process is based on partnering with our clients through a collaborative approach to maximize opportunity.

As a Smart City Lead you will orchestrate people driven outcomes that integrate a range of disciplines with the latest technology to create value for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Innovation - develop solutions for smart city and integrated sustainable development, including urban design and planning, infrastructure (energy/water/waste), buildings, environment and mobility

  • Communication – lead coordination amongst internal teams and with clients, government departments, technology suppliers and other stakeholders

  • Collaboration - Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, and subject matter specialists

  • Management - manage the delivery of high-quality technical outcomes

  • Business Development – drive a profitable business through a strong existing client and industry base, development of proposals, and formulation of a business plan in the area of smart city planning for Hong Kong and Southeast Asia

Minimum Requirements

  • Passionate about future cities, application of innovative technology and smart city development

  • Understanding and knowledge of ICT and Green Technology industry

  • Strong visual and design capability, critical and creative thinking skills

  • Knowledge of latest digital and analytic software tools and desire and capacity to learn more

  • Strong listening and communication skills with people from different disciplines

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to set priority and be multi-tasking

  • Take ownership of quality outcomes

  • Business development acumen, strong industry and client connections in the region

  • Experiences in design and implementation for integrated planning and infrastructure projects

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Occasional travel is required

  • Position can be based in either Singapore, Hong Kong, Jakarta or Manila

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline

  • 8+ years of experience, with experience in the Asia market.

  • Membership in relevant professional organizations
