Job Summary
We now have opportunities for Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer (TCP T3 under RSE & RGE Stream) to join AECOM.
Responsibilities:
The Resident Engineer will:
Act as both the RGE and RSE T5 and both the RSE/RGE’s Representative on site;
Accountable and report to the RSE/RGE and take-in-charge of the RE Site Office for implementing both the RSE and RGE’s supervision;
Take overall responsibility to check the site safety measures in compliance with requirements of supervision plans;
Carry out specific tasks as per requirements and checklist devised from RSE/RGE and representative of Client;
Supervise the junior TCPs comprising Assistant Resident Engineers to check the essential items for specified tasks, including but not limited to large scale of hill slope and site formation works;
Coordinate and compile reports on supervision activities including reports on non-conformities, to deal with non-conformities, and to report to RSE/RGE;
Check the works in compliance with the approved plans, the approved temporary works, method statements, precautionary and protective measures;
Review Contractor’s submissions;
Monitor the work of the Registered Contractor’s TCPs;
Attend the site meetings and project meetings, and assist and coordinate with the design office for all site works/matters.
Check the contractor’s structural / geotechnical works are in compliance with the statutory and contractual requirements.
Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy.
The Assistant Resident Engineer (TCP T3 under RSE & RGE Stream) will:
Accountable and report to the RSE/RGE under supervision of the RSE/RGE’s Representative;
Provide professional assistance to TCP T5 or design office as appropriate;
Carry out specific tasks as per requirement and checklist devised from RSE/RGE and representative of Client;
Check the works in compliance with the approved plans, the approved temporary works, method statements, precautionary and protective measures;
Monitor the work of the Registered Contractor’s TCPs;
Deal with non-conformities by making referral to the RSE/RGE’s representative and notify TCPs in other streams; and
Assist to check the contractor’s structural / geotechnical works are in compliance with the statutory and contractual requirements.
Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy.

The project include Pile Cap, ELS, site formation and foundation works
Tentative Contract period of employment: Around 21 months

Minimum Requirements
The Resident Engineer shall be:
Bachelor or Master degree in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering;
MHKIE or equivalent and RPE (Structural/Civil and Geotechnical)
Minimum 3 years resident site engineer experience or 9 years’ experience in design and/or site supervision of building foundation, Pile Cap, site formation, basement excavation and construction, and structural works;
Ability to coordinate with other parties in the construction site environment;
Ability to lead the site office and supervise the site team;
Experience and awareness in contractual issues in construction, and
Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
The Assistant Resident Engineer (TCP T3 under RSE & RGE Stream) shall be:
- Degree Holder in civil/structural/geotechnical engineering with minimum total relevant working experience of 2 years in ELS works / site formation works / foundation works or equivalent
