AECOM Associate Director / Associate, Quantity Surveying in Shatin, N.T., Hong Kong

Job Summary

Our specialists are responsible for the management and control of hundreds of major capital programs totaling over US$300 billion across all continents and market sectors, including transportation/infrastructure, mining and minerals, environmental, facilities, water and energy. We provide cost and project management services, and specialist consultancy services, to public- and private-sector clients around the world, with a strong presence in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

As a consequence of our success and growth, we are looking for talents for the following post to join the project team and to enable the projects are delivered within budget, schedule and meeting the required quality and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior team/project leader for pre and post-contract quantity surveying duties for projects of Architectural Services Department (Arch.S.D.) of HKSAR/ sub-vented projects of Non-Government Organization (NGO) including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, tender evaluation, cashflow forecast, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.

  • Supervise and manage the taking off from drawings and pricing for cost estimates, tender documents, etc.

  • Leading and coaching junior staff in delivery of services, including checking on the works done by junior staff

  • Collaborate and develop good relationship with the Clients of Arch.S.D. or NGO and stakeholders internally and externally

  • Attend meetings and site inspections when required

  • Comply with the Company’s QA requirements and best practice

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree holder in Quantity Surveying discipline or equivalent

  • Relevant quantity surveying experience in Arch.S.D. building works projects in consultant firm.

  • For Associate Director, at least 15 years experience

  • For Associate, at least 8 years experience

  • Corporate Member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) and Registered Professional Surveyor

  • For Associate Director, minimum 12 years post-qualification of HKIS

  • For Associate, Quantity Surveying, minimum 5 years post-qualification of HKIS

  • Practical experience in handling building works projects in large-scaled government / institutional project preferable

  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and lead a team

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Cantonese

  • Final title offered will depend on actual experience and competencies for the position
