AECOM Project Manager - Urbanism and Planning in Shatin, Hong Kong

As a Project Manager you will orchestrate people driven outcomes that integrate a range of disciplines with the latest technology to create value for our clients. You will have a client-facing role to deliver strong results and great client outcomes. Reporting to the practice leadership, you will lead integrated design and consulting, masterplanning, urban planning or landscape projects from concept through execution, ensuring they meet company and client expectations.
Manage - Lead multi-disciplinary teams that are delivering sustainable and design and planning work in Asia. Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, including staffing, risks, budget and program. Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and present formal documentation for approval when required.
Collaborate – Lead coordination amongst teams and with clients, government departments, suppliers and other stakeholders. Communicate with local regulatory agencies and certification agencies to ensure compliance with local requirements and codes. Work with internal teams to develop project delivery road maps.
Produce - Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, and subject matter specialists. Present and facilitate strategic discussions to top-level clients. Drive compliance of worldwide design standards.
Innovate - Demonstrate performance that serves as a model of excellence establishing sustainable planning and design best practices, business requirements, design team collaboration, and stakeholder alignment.
Passionate about future cities and approaches to sustainable design and planning
Experience in implementation of integrated planning and design projects
Strong multi-disciplinary perspective, critical and creative thinking skills
Project management experience including proficiency with software tools
Strong listening and communication skills with people from different disciplines
Strong organizational skills, ability to set priority and be multi-tasking
Take ownership of quality outcomes
Tertiary qualifications in related discipline (planning, economics, environment, engineering, etc) is essential
5+ years of experience, with experience in the Asia market.
Membership in relevant professional organizations
Fluent in written and spoken English. Ability to communicate in Cantonese and Mandarin also preferred.
Other language capabilities an asset
Occasional travel is required
