AECOM is seeking an Assistant Sustainability Consultant in China.

Job Description

  • Conducting and delivering technical work across a range of climate change and

  • sustainability projects;

  • Working within teams to deliver climate change and sustainability related projects;

  • Contributing to managing tasks and projects covering technical, quality and financial management;

  • Liaising and collaborating with colleagues, clients and their advisors to deliver work on time, budget and achieving technical excellence;

  • Contributing to the preparation of technical reports;

  • Multitasking: working across several projects and proposals, including infrastructure and major project climate and energy assessments, sustainable infrastructure, climate change/sustainability strategy, carbon footprinting and net zero planning enterprises, and project carbon assessment including Life Cycle Analysis (LCA);

  • Contributing to preparing costed proposals and other business development materials (e.g. for webinars, flyers, case studies, etc.);

  • Building long term client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Science or engineering education background i.e. relevant MSc or equivalent qualification in Energy, Environment, HVAC, Sustainability, Climate Change or relevant fields, and a strong undergraduate degree in STEM based major.

  • Familiarity with climate change science and impact, mitigation and adaptation concepts;

  • Holistic understanding of sustainability, with a particular interest in energy and climate change;

  • A desire to delivery technical excellence;

  • Great communication and presentation skills and fluency in English.
