Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Seattle, WA.
You will be joining of a global team of 500+ maritime specialists who support on a wide range of maritime developments including container terminals, LNG facilities, waterfront developments, federal maritime facilities, cruise and ferry terminals, marinas and harbors as well as coastal schemes such as beach development and coastal protection schemes.

Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal DOD facilities, coastal defense, and development schemes.
Civil design for terminals across the United States.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering or Maritime Engineering plus 2 years of related experience.
Professional Engineer Registration with the ability to attain a Washington State Professional Engineer Registration within 6 months.
Valid driver’s license required.
Experience with computer aided design (AutoCAD).
Experience with ArcGIS.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree plus 5 years of related experience.
Experience in the design of marine terminals, naval facilities, and port facilities
Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
Additional Information
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Relocation is not available for this position.
Offered rate of compensation (WA locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000
