Job Description
AECOM is seeking an established Professional Services Leader in the Transit-Rail sector to drive the growth, strategy, and efficient project delivery of AECOM’s services in the Pacific Northwest of the United States . This position is located in Seattle, Washington or Portland, Oregon .
JOB SUMMARY:
This individual will be part of the senior leadership team for the West Coast Transit-Rail Division reporting directly to the West Coast Transit-Rail Division Leader. The Senior Manager will provide leadership and coaching to staff in various subjects including, but not limited to, account management, business development, capture management, and project delivery. The ideal candidate will be an industry leader with existing relationships at key transit agencies in Washington and Oregon, including Sound Transit, WSDOT, Trimet, Amtrak, and other rail clients. The Transit-Rail business line at AECOM spans the full suite of services including environmental, planning, engineering, design, and program and construction management. This leader will need to be a self-starter who can build a high-performing team rapidly, demonstrate a successful track record in winning work, and be experienced in efficient project delivery. This position is expected to begin immediately.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a strategy to grow the transit rail business
Perform sales activities including marketing, client positioning, proposal preparation, leading interview teams, and assist in contract negotiations
Attend industry events to promote AECOM’s transit rail service offering
Initiate and set up projects for successful delivery outcomes
Recruit qualified team members
Form and deploy project teams for delivery excellence
Manage projects and or programs with a focus on safety, quality, client satisfaction, and strong financial performance
Implement retention efforts to maintain minimum voluntary turnover
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in business development, capture management, and account management.
Ability to build broad and deep internal and external networks, and capable of communicating to inspire and lead others.
Registered Engineer in Washington and ideally Oregon.
Graduate degree in engineering or MBA
Ability to teach and mentor technical staff by demonstrating knowledge of relevant technical skills and tools
Team-oriented individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate clearly and simply to clients, leadership, and technical staff
Ability to balance various responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and quality

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Washington locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $280,000.
