Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Architect for immediate employment for the Saskatoon, SK office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Managing an Architectural team

  • Working directly with AECOM engineering teams

  • Developing new business

  • Leading the Architecture design efforts on projects

  • Providing technical guidance for staff

  • Organizing and planning projects

  • Providing quality control reviews

  • Providing advice and consultation to clients on architectural matters

  • Supervising production of designs and construction documents

  • Participating in design pursuits with a multi-disciplinary team

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field from a recognized Post-Secondary institution

  • 8+ years of experience required

  • Ability to clearly communicate with clients and peers

  • Analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities

  • Registered as an Architect in Canada

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

  • Strong organizational skills in order to work on multiple projects/tasks

  • Ability to provide reports, guidelines, assessments, and other documents that are clear, concise and complete

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Active in professional societies

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

  • Licensed as a Registered Architect in Saskatchewan

  • LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Familiarity with codes and regulations in the provinces throughout Canada

  • Diversified knowledge of architectural principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields

  • An understanding of integrated design and delivery methods

  • Ability to resolve complex technical issues with other disciplines

  • Ability to resolve conflicts within the project teams, department, and group

  • Ability to manage internal project budgets and staffing

  • Ability to undertake assessments of existing buildings for condition, code compliance, and functions

  • Ability and willingness to travel across Canada

  • Ability to obtain security clearance with the Government of Canada
