The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with task management for a broad range of environmental assessment and remediation projects

  • Conduct environmental field investigations involving soil, soil vapor, indoor and outdoor air, and groundwater

  • Supervise subcontractors in the field

  • Prepare work plans and reports

  • Assist in remediation projects

  • Implement work plans and health & safety plans

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or other related field

  • GIT

  • 2+ years of experience

  • 40-HAZWOPER training certification

  • Behavior-based safety

  • Thorough knowledge of soil, soil vapor, surface water and groundwater sampling

  • Experience and knowledge of Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) investigations

  • Fully competent in a variety of field investigation drilling methods (HSA, Mud Rotary, Sonic, Geoprobe)

  • Ability to design, install, and abandon groundwater monitoring wells and soil vapor probes

  • Extensive travel associated with field projects

  • Ability to supervise field staff

  • Ability to read, write and understand technical documents including investigation work plans and remedial action plans

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be detailed-oriented, thorough, well organized and effective time management

  • Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willing to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives
