Job Summary

The PMCM Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and experienced Project Manager for immediate employment. The appropriately qualified candidate will be able to provide team leadership and be the key day to day liaison with County (The Client) for overall project implementation from design concept thru commissioning, training and first day operations.

Responsible for:

  • Total project management of scope, design and construction of design and construction phases

  • Liaison on behalf of AECOM team with client manager and client’s diverse end user departments and stakeholders

  • Represent and manage project on behalf of client organization

  • Team building and integration of AECOM’s internal design and construction management services business lines and staff, and for entire project team inclusive of client, community and contractor.

  • Implement the Client’s procurement processes to obtain best in class construction, inspection and other supporting construction and consultant services required by the design-bid-build project.

  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, key performance indicators and overall status to both Client and AECOM

  • Strategic leadership with ability to recommend innovation and industry best practices to the Client and AECOM team.

  • Provide senior experience and expertise to trouble shoot and resolve project issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years' experience

  • Program Management & Controls Experience w/$100M public project

  • Experience managing project of $50-75M and above that integrates design and CM services to include integration of design, along with preconstruction and construction phase services.

  • History of successful design management and PMCM prime responsibility for a project of $50-75M

  • Experience working with justice or fire clients

  • Experience with:

  • $20M new Fire Admin HQ – offices w/ some unique command/com systems + security

  • +/- $ 85M county facility for emergency response and operations of key portions of the OES response managed by Fire, of the Sheriff’s 911 call center, and of Information Systems county wide com systems; This means really understanding how to integrate internal with external public systems – be it microwave, radio, short wave etc. – and be familiar with the primary performance issues of these various com systems (which ones are line of site, which ones are electronic repeaters ) as well as working w/ multiple agencies demands & wants for same space.

  • $20M hazardous household materials warehouse (tilt up/NFPA high bay storage – w/ some surveillance/security issues)

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

  • Valid drivers license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic licenses, certifications, and/or registrations to be obtained within an established time frame upon hire: CCM, Architecture, Engineering
